Megan Peterson, Founder & Executive Director
Megan does everything from cleaning the toilets to signing the checks. She fills in where needed and ensures the team is fulfilled. She strives to ensure an atmosphere of inclusion and healthy interactions within the facility. Behind the scenes, she maintains the growth of our vision and developments programs to ensure sustainability and longevity.
What Megan loves most about working with kids is observing how the gears in their brains turn out in how they play. It's so pure, genuine, adventuresome and confident.
The sensory equipment is Megan’s favorite: the bubble tubes, the light table, the fiber optic lights. Megan says, “They are so calming and mesmerizing. I love to play with them.”
Megan’s superpower is her ADHD. As she describes it: “It has its drawbacks when it comes to navigating executive functioning skills in life, but it comes in very handy when hyperfocusing on doing what I love. Writing the Mendo LEAP plan, vision and programs is what I love and I have so much fun doing it.”
